Squeeze mode question still unanswered

So I shot a video at 24pa squeeze but i'm now confused by a few things.

First: What should my settings be for my sequence in FCP? What shoudl the size be? I've heard square pixels but what about the size? should i use the hdtv 720p (16x9) setting or what? And anamorphic or not? I'm very confused with that.

Second: How shoud i export it? I would like to uprez the footage but i tried already and the footage looked horribly streched and even on youtube HD the black bars were huuugge. So how do I go about uprezzing it for youtube to get it to fill more of the screen like I've seen in tommetass's uprezzed videos.

Someone pease help me out I'm getting more and more confused by everyones different posts.

Also i imported with the 23.98 advanced pulldown 2:3:3:2 non anamorphic if that matters at all.

Leave the timeline at 720x486, advanced pulldown. Then what I do is add the sharpening filter (video filters --> Sharpen --> Sharpen) and set that to "25" in that little dial that controls amount. Add that to all the clips. Then export using compressor. Set the destination and for compression go to h.264 and go to geometry. Set as 1280x720 (where it says 100% Source in dropdown tab) and below that set pixels to "Square". Then if you burn that to DVD or upload to the web, you have some fairly good HD footage (not as good as from a native HD camera, but pretty damn good). If you export to DVD, it'll compare to a down-rezzed HD camera.

alright thanks guys i'll have to try things again. So when I capture i shouldn't do anything with 16x9 or anamorphic correct?

just make sure you have it set to capture 29.97 w/ advanced pulldown removal, it makes a huge difference. it needs to be captured at 29.97 because the data recorded to the tapes is still written in this way, regardless of whether you have it set to 24pa or not. if you capture at 23.98 w/ adv. pulldown removal, FCP will remove random frames the whole way through. not good.
