Squares (NEED HELP)

When ever I shoot, the brighter the shot when ever I import it, There these squares that appear as if parts of the video are lagging for a split second. Is this the heads because I am only around 270 hours.

Also it only appears when I play back, and in low light shots they are almost completely gone.

It doesn't have to mean that your heads are shot, but it could mean your heads are dirty. When did you last run a cleaning tape?

OK, let's narrow this down.

1. Are the flaws still there if you play the tape on a different deck/camera?
(If they are, then the errors are getting encoded onto the tape. BAD.)

2. Test this: Hook up your DVX right into your computer and capture straight through, bypassing tape recording.
(If the errors are not there - clean tape heads. If they ARE there - you've got a different problem.)

Wash, rinse, repeat....Then report back here please.
