SPY GAMES: Secret's Out

If we're aloud to nit-pick here,

You're allowed. That's why I posted it here. It is nice to hear good job, well done ... but the process of critiquing your work makes you stronger as an artist. So nit pic away.

I noticed a couple miss framed shots, (Cutting heads),

I'm not sure that I agree, or maybe I'm not understanding what you're talking about- but how do you get a CU or XCU of a face without cutting heads?

and I didn't understand him having to touch the footprint to figure out which way it was leading.

That was more of a visual cue. As I felt that the footprint did not stand out enough, so his movement helps draw your eye to the footprint. Clairifying what you're seeing - at least that was my intent behind the shot.

And then there was the close up of the girl at the end - Jumping to an over the shoulder shot. It throws the viewer off, a little, for a second.

Yeah, good point. I probably should have gone from CU Girl to Cu Guy to OTS Girl- that woudl alieviate the disorientation, as well as possibly add more tension.

That said, I do certainly think children will enjoy it! :)

Thanks.

hmmm... I was a bit cornified by this. In otherwords, it looked like typical student film, so I guess it's okay. Storywise? nah didn't really get it. I think less wide and still shots would make this teaser more effective. Other than that it was okay.

btw why does the music stop and why does he look left first after motorcyle left the scene on the right? I can see he wonders where she went, but it would seem more believable if we saw the right direction first, just because of the simple fact a motorcycle just zoomed past.

Cornified, huh? Is that a midwestern term?

to emphasize the dissapearance, helping to convey that everything in this guys world has just stopped- as he will now be killed for letting her get away.

Yep, you're right - my mistake. It is interesting that you're the first person to notice / comment about that- it seems that that would be a glairing error, but aparently it goes by most people ...

haha yea i felt that was the best word i could use at the moment. I figured the music had some meaning, but i think you have do something visually as well(especially if its a teaser/trailer because I' dont think many might understand it. I actually played it over and over and thought it was my damn sound card going out.

I never really look at screen direction, but when something like that happens its quite odd to take in. Because the pov seemed to come from the male actor throughout the chase and when you do that the audience will question/predict the characters actions.

Dear God.

And I thought Transporter 2 was lame!

Nice composition though....

(100th post... not that it matters)

-EDIT-

I notice many many many MANY users that use FL Studio (FruityLoops) and do not hide it very well.

Do you by chance use FruityLoops?
