Spring Lake Ski Jump

This past weekend my buddy Derik and I built a killer jump on the hill of Spring Lake Park. A decent place to go sledding for the little kids and lousy place to snowboard and ski for us thrill seekers. Unless, you know how to build and place a nice jump. We set up a 3.5 foot launch in the parking lot and went down the bluff to build up speed so we could make it up and over the fence. It was so much fun! I've never experienced a jump nearly that good before in my life. Not even at the ski resorts I have been too. Most have terrible table tops here in Minnesota. Anyway. Without a further a do, here's a quick 30 second video I made of our trip. (I explain why it's short in the movie)

Cool. Crazy.

What did the police have to say?
That we were a danger to passing cars. So they sent in a plow team to destroy it. :embarasse

Ahhh...i remember real snow....not too much opportunity for it here in lala land... oh well! Nice stuff.

DAMN THE MAN!!!!!!

SNOWBOARDING IS NOT A CRIME!!!!!!

Were you guys a danger to passing cars because they would be watching you and not paying attention to their cell phone conversations and their fancy coffee drinks and suddenly find the task of actually driving more than their feeble minds could handle?!?!?!?!?

Am I ranting? Sorry, a little too much sugar this afternoon.

Keep it up.

They were actually coming down a hill and crossing a city street before they hit the jump. I think that's why the cops got involved.

Yup crossing the street. "You could run into a car," says the bitchy, fat lady cop. She was in desperate need of a good orgasm.
