Split Screen, tri-screen, screen rotation phase out

Shot a music video with the AF100 and the hacked GH2, I'll post when done. By the way, I'm by no means competent at FCP7, but how do I do split screens and then have them move around either clockwise or anti-clockwise and finally have one screen fill the frame phasing the others out. I can think of an utterly silly way to do this but I'm sure there's a professional way to do it.

My silly way would be to resize and crop, then I'd be left with the movement - I'm guessing I'll need FCS Motion? - I'm going for a split screen, tri-screen, quad screen, rotate clockwise and back to one. I'm also trying to introduce a flicker as seen in this music video - is this a plugin or frame-splicing?

In FCP7 it's you, you're new best friend "keyframes", and sizing and cropping to create what you want. AE can probably make it a lot less hassle for you, but you have to know that program. you sound like you know exactly what you want but it's gonna be on you to create it.

i'm sure you'll do a great job.
i look forward to seeing it when it's finished.
