Spl water housing for FS700

I've found a few threads on here about water housings for the FS700 but mainly bag type units which I honestly don't trust... I've been looking at one made by SPL, http://www.splwaterhousings.com/html/video_waterhousings.html#

I really can't find much info on this anywhere. Does anyone have any experience with this or other housings paired with the FS700? I'm going to be shooting a lot of kayaking, standup paddle boarding, and surfing between now and Feburary and am trying to find out what my options are.

Thanks!

Wow, that thing is huge! At least it looks huge. Doesn't look like it should be used in a river, or in waves. That said, it seems they are just splash housings, not actual underwater housings. I was going to make some suggestions, but all the ones I was thinking of are underwater housings for which you would be paying at least $3k.

Thanks for replying! Yeah it does look huge doesn't it! I'm not looking for a dive housing, just something that can sit in the water all day and I don't have to worry about it. SPL makes tons of DSLR housings primilarly for surf photography and they're suposedly made to take a beating... I'm thinking it'll be better suited for what I plan on doing than a dive housing. I'm willing to spend 3k on a good one if it'll do what I need it to and apparently these are tougher than most dive housings.

I looked at the ewa bag but I honestly don't trust it for what I'm doing. I'm hoping to spend hours in the water with it swimming around reckless people who are going to run into it and I'm more than likey going to bash it off of rocks and abuse the heck out of it... I think it would be a little to easy to put a tear in a bag.

Any suggestions, experiences etc would be super helpful!
