Greetings beloved dvxuser friends and colleagues. I just got done with a 5 day shoot for a reality TV show being produced for spikeTV, called Reality Racing. www.realityracingtv.com It came together really well and in short order.. having to hire a 20 person crew, get the equipment together, and just about everything else. I'm the supervising producer on the show... basically the guy running the whole show. We are shooting with 5 or 6 DVXs for the majority of the coverage and I'm shooting with my beloved HVXs along with an A1. Starting to love that footage but I'm not too thrilled with the cam itself.. just doesn't feel like my HVX and just not used to it, but I won't be shooting with that anyway. Just wanted to let you know and bascially I see that this was a big audition for me and the crew.. a trial by fire and it came together so WELL. Amazingly well with a great crew, great contestants, and a great producer. It's going to be a huge project for me and one that I'm so excited about. IT will be in production for two months and I'll be getting some amazing footage with the HVX and loving it. I'll be kind of there to provide the icing and the DVXs are there to make the cake. I feel truly blessed to be a part of it and to be able to hire so many of my friends and such. The first show will air on Spike on May 19th at 10am and follow every week until the grand finale. I can't wait to see it all edited together and see the reactions. I know it'll grow in production essentials as we go along and I'm just feeling really happy about being a part of such a great crew and a great show. I'm sure it'll be a very exciting show to watch.
Just wanted to let my online homebase people know. It's been a huge part of my growth with the HVX and I'm happy to call so many of you friends.
Talk to you all soon.
