Hey Norm.

I think people may be getting the wrong idea here. This is a serious, classy beautiful short we're working on.

Amusing little postings about cheerleaders and nurses and trampolines are fun, but I really think that French Maid references are a little over the line and really do cheapen what we are setting out to do here as artistes.

And our project is "Spies Girls: the America Tour 2007". Cheerleaders and nurses (and yes, even trampolines) are solid parts of the "American experience" ("Americana", if you will). French maids are, well, French. They're simply not appropriate.

I'm sure you understand.

(and by the way, camouflage and Gilligans Island are truly Americana, aren't they?)

All dug out!!! I usually shovel the old lady next door's walk too. She says she's interested in being in the film!

She's about 4'11'' with a tough Northern Jersey accent, a prominent mole and a lazy eye. Can we fly her out?

Yes. I most certainly have a part for her (she doesn't have a fear of trampolines, does she?).

Just hand her a broom and she can get here on her own.

Update: 18 March 2007

So we finished our casting yesterday. I got home early this morning after checking myself out of the hospital. They say I'm pretty much recovered.

Three awesome new talents are now attached: Agent One, Agent Robin and Agent Roberta. Not only can these people act, but they also have incredibly positive attitudes. They'll lose those by the time we finish filming.

I am specifically not attaching the images from the bikini auditions. There simply wasn't enough interest shown on the thread. If you want to see those, I'm selling them for $29.99. Each. And that's better than the deal I gave that neurosurgeon this morning.

Working through a few location issues now. They'll be resolved in a week.

The music is coming along. It's amazing the sound you can get out of eleven ukeleles, two bagpipes and a conga drum. Very cool.

Then it's lock the script and prepare the storyboards. Then filming.

On timeline. On budget.

And that's the way it is, America.

I don't think anyone was interested in 'images' anyway ... I'm pretty sure they were hoping for full motion video clips. :evil:

Rebecca - DEAL! Delighted to send him TWO for that price (it's a one-off special, so don't get excited, people). I'll cover the shipping and handling, too.

Please post in this thread your husband's full name, billing address, his Mom's maiden name and his VISA card number and expiry date (along with that weird little 3 digit code on the back of the signature panel) and I'll put them in the mail straight away.

Thanks Kyle. It is a serious piece dealing with contemporary social issues, but we'll do our best to have fun making it. And yes, our cast is great-looking, but I must say they pale in comparison to the Director.
