spiderbrace 2

Never done any real handheld and saw the spiderbrace 2 so I picked it up. What the heck for $70 and it wouldn't be wednesday if I didn't buy some small gadget for the HVX. Having done a search here people seem to like it, but not a lot of specific experience about it, most had just gotten it. Interesting, I couldn't find a weight limitation on their site. Anyone have any comments/advice?

i have the spiderbrace and i love it. i have it configured with wheels and i mounted a female tripod plate so the tripod plate stays underneath my cam at all times and i slide it onto my spiderbrace and underneath the sb i have a small tripod plate that way the cam and sb as all one unit go on top of my tripod and the cam never leaves the brace and the wheels added some needed wieght.

I have the spiderbrace as well and really enjoy it.

The Spiderbrace is light, well designed and low priced - I like it. To push the start button or to control focus/iris you have to change the grip and that's not quite convenient. So my next investment will be a Zoom/Focus/Iris Controller (probably a VariZoom).

I'm using the BeBob FOXI for focus with mine, and the LIBEC ZC-3DV for zoom . . . absolutely love it for the money. Many situations (for me) are more suitable for this setup than my Flyer.

Does the Libec ZC-3DV truly work well for the HVX200, or are you using it with DVX? I'm frustrated with the lack of smooth start/stopping of the zoom control on the HVX and the Bebob too. If the Libec offers smooth starts and stops of zooming, I'll go buy one right away.
