Spider Man 3 poster

i enjoy the first too and im spiderman fanatic compared to the other block buster films that have been out in the past few year its in the top for story and characters etc. batman begins is above it and thats coming from a spiderman fan. but name other blockbuster. The XMEN series has been a spit on the face of comics. they are too pg-13. if you know what i mean.

That's funny Spidey

I have never been into Comic Books (The tradtional ones) but find the X-MEn films to be up my alley. The others are 'Blah' (Spidey, Batman.. I am not even that stoked on Superman)

funny thing is spiderman and the new batman are closer to the comics than xmen. like i have most of the unncanny xmen comics from 60-90's and the writers have taken out all the details made logan a wuss, charcters aren't even how they are in the comics. like mystic is not even aimportant charcter really. i think shes been like 10-20 comics her whole time. no gambit, juggernuant is too small, and wolverine killed his wife from japan.

And no Cable!

Too bad Daredevil is the worst piece of garbage ever made. He is a great character too. They couldve made him awesome, but they had to have Asslick as him.

The Uncanny issues under the helm of Chris Claremont were disastrous. Everyone wore homosexual costumes. Storm had a mohawk and the stories were regurgitated crap. Tons of overhyped story arcs from this period.

Give me Grant Morrison's run of New Xmen anyday. Bold, original, and compelling storytelling. Morrison made me care about characters i had left in the dust almost a decade earlier. He is the best writer in comics today.

The thing that I loathe THE MOST about the X-Men movies is Storm. Halle Barry just plain sucks, it's not entirely her fault, becuase the character is written SO poorly.

They don't show her as a strong, African spiritualist; she's a wuss, and refers to God in the movie, which is horse crap, because Storm always refered African Godesses.

...and 10 other things that they screwed up about the character.

That's what happens when a comic movie is helmed by someone who, under his own admission, never liked comics. Singer is a duche bag, talented, very talented, but a total duche bag. The reason the Spider-Man films have been so true to character is that Raimi has been a Spidey fan his whole life. And it shows.

personally i think she could have done a better job as Storm.. yes it was written bad and all... but think about it... who else can you see as Storm? IMO no one could be Storm but Halle Berry

Anytime I think of halle Barry I think about her beggin to feel good and get Billy Bobbed SICK.....

anyway's I look forward to the superman film more than any movie this year.... X3, Miami Vice, and MI3 also top the list.... but I've alway's been a fan of Spiderman I didn't like the 2nd one as much as the first which I set a record for me by seeing it 6 times opening week... Spiderman 2 twice in it's theatre run....

I don't know where I'm going with this other than I trust Raimi and Singer to do great work and despite not being a very big fan of Ratners' look forward to his rendition of Xmen

Hmm. I'm wondering what it's going to be like without Danny Elfman on board for music. Old news I know, but apparently Raimi wanted Elfman to more or less copy the style of other composers scores, and 'rewrite' music from the first film, giving him very little creative control over the new score. Spiderman 1 & 2 had a great feel thanks to Elfman, now I'm not sure. But we'll see.

I am looking foward to this movie though. I love spiderman.
