Speeding up DVX100B footage in post.

Hi just had a quick question regarding speeding up DVX100B footage in post. Once this is done it looks very video like, one solution to this is to deinterlace the sped up clip but ofcaurse half my fields go bye bye. I wanted to know how everyone else handles the situation, to keep the progressive look on sped up footage without having to deinterlace.

Thanks.

I shoot progressive and speed that up. In ppro I have project set as prgoressive.... so no deinterlacing needed.

Shoot the footage at 1/24th and just let it run, then in post speed it up to 1000(have at least 20min worth of one shot for this to look good) and if your using FCP put on a stop motion blur filter and F*** around with that:)

EDIT: i just saw that your using Premiere Pro so forget what i said about FCP:)

Thanks for the feedback.

Hey ncje, are you cutting in Premiere Pro, becasue Premiere Pro 2.0 only give you an option of Lower Fields or Upper Fields when starting a project, are you editing in a 24 timeline. The footage i need to speed up is regular 24p so i'm editing in a 29.97 timeline.

Thanks
