Speeding up AE efficiency ...

I'm trying to speed up my efficiency in AE, so I've been googling a lot of commonly used shortcuts. One that I'd like to be able to do, but I don't know what it's called, would be to move the render bar to the area I'm currently looking at so I don't have to zoom out, scroll over, slide it, zoom back in, lather, rinse, repeat. It's fine every now and then, but I've been doing it over and over and over today. I mean, I see where it is on the top of the timeline with that little ghost of one representing it up there. Why can't I just click and drag that to where I am?

Right, I'm not looking to zoom in and out, but to bring the render bar to the spot I'm looking at on the time line.

Render bar ... that's what I call it at least. RAM Preview bar?

b sets the beginning of the work area (the render bar as you say)
n sets the end of the work area
