Speedbooster Yashica lense

Hi guys I have set of Yashica Ml prime lenses and original black magic 2.5 MFT with Metabones Speed Booster Blackmagic Cinema Camera EF-MFT 0.64x #MB_SPEF_BMCC_BM1 I seen post where zeiss lenses are modified to fit the speed booster EF by showing down the metal protruding tab since zeiss and yashica share same mount CY would this work with yashica lenses and if not is adapter recipe send in my case

There are simple adapter rings readily available online that convert CY > EF. Those adapter rings aren't great, though, and often have a little play in them. That makes accurate focus pulling a real pain if you use a follow focus.

Or, you can send them to Duclos to have the lens mounts permanently modded. A less expensive alternative to that, there are DIY kits from Simmod that come with replacement mounts and shims.

I also have a set of Yashica M lenses and I absolutely love them. It's unfortunate that they never made an 85mm in that series, but I have the Zeiss Planar f/1.4 85mm to round out the set. Also a lovely lens.

Hi thanks for reply I asked Simmod they said they don’t have kits for Yashica ML even thought it’s same mount as zeiss they offer for I don’t do use fallow focus at call just hobbyists. If using adapter rings do you loose any infinity focus and I also seen post where guy shaved off the protruding metal at back of the zeiss lens and then it works in ef speedboster
