Speedbooster + Old cheap lenses ?

Have an FS700 on order. I'm looking to economize in the lens department. Compared to 35mm I like shooting at these three focals:

16mm (ballpark, rough figure. just something wide)
50mm
85mm

If I plan on purchasing a speedbooster would it be beneficial to get say, the Canon FD speedbooster and search for older lenses that have similar focals? Or perhaps nikon? Anyone utilize old lenses on their FS700 with a speedbooster?

Contact. C/Y. Mount lens.....looks great....is also one of the cheaper speedboosters mounts

I bought the EF Speedbooster, granted an extra $200 but for 12 bucks each for a pair of EF converters, I am using my Nikon and Contax C/Y manual lenses, as well as my EF lenses, and gaining the extra stop with only buying one SpeedBooster.
