Ah yes... "Switchable" lenses. It's amazing, they are DIRT cheap on eBay, now. I saw a switchable w/2x Fuji HD W/A the other week on there for maybe 1/5 or less of what it cost when it was new. So sad...
My last Betacam was 16:9/4:3 switchable. I would have loved to have had a switchable lens, but I couldn't really afford it at the time. I thought I was doing good back then to put a brand new Fuji HD 13x4.5 on it, that cost more than my first vehicle. And I think it was at least another $5k(if not more) for a lens with a "ratio converter" built-in.
