GH3 Speedbooster for GH3

Hi, Im coming from a trusty t2i and still have some great glass. I would like to use my Sigma 18-35 and 50mm 1.4. I recently purchased a used GH3 and looking at some speed boosters. The only one my local camera store sells is the new "XL" .64x.
From what I gather it was made for the GH4 in 4k crop mode, so Im not sure If id have problems with vignetting my GH3. I do hopefully plan on upgrading to a GH4 but not for the foreseeable future.

If anyone has experience/thoughts w/ the GH3 on this XL speed booster it would be much appreciated
 
The XL booster won't vignette on the GH3, as it is designed to still work with the 1080p mode of the GH4, which is the same size as the GH3's 1080p modes. I'm not sure about photos though, might depend on the particular lens you use. The 50mm f1.4 will be fine as that's a full-frame lens, but the Sigma only covers APS-C and the XL booster basically tuns the sensor into APS-H in 1080p mode.

The XL Speed Booster will cover the full 4/3 format just fine. However, since it does have extra reducing power you need to be careful about the lenses you attach to the XL. All 24x36mm format optics will work fine. Some DX/APSC format optics will also work fine, but others will have vignetting issues.
