Speed?

Hey guys,
Pretty new to Avid as of Christmas. I have Avid Xpress DV (yes I know it's not Pro but just learning the basics really). I do not have the Time Warp effect so I was wondering if there was any other way to change the speed on a clip. I know about changing it in the bin and making a new clip but I was hoping there was another alternative, like while it's on the timeline if possible. Thanks for any help guys.

Making a new clip is the only option inside Xpress DV. Xpress Pro has Timewarp, but it's severely limited (so much so that I'd almost say it's useless).

A third party FX program (After Effects, Boris, Combustion, Shake) would be the only other option.

A little disappointing but I'm learning this for ESPN and if I work there they have a couple of Avid Nitris systems that I would be working on. Thanks again for the help.
