Speed Booster camera test - Slowmo @ Manly Beach

Thought you might be interested in seeing this, i had a job last night and hadn't used the fs700 before so took it down to Manly beach (Sydney, Aus) at sunrise to nut things out. I'm used to working with a Scarlet and it was super nice to have a much easier post workflow, although i think it could have dealt with some of the backlit/high contrast scenes better. Really impressed with the speedbooster as well, ended up shooting some canon 50mmL f0.9 stuff with it later last night, lots of fun. Just gotta find the money to invest now...

EDIT: I did a test which shows the difference in perspective between proper full frame (5d3) and the fs700+speedbooster, as well as the effect (if any) the speedbooster has on vignetting. You can see it below, post #4

Very sharp buddy. I am starting to like the canon glass on the FS700. Just about to order the speed booster.

Thanks for posting that. There is a vignetting on the images. Is it due to the Speedbooster?

I did a test...

fs700 135l f1.4 215th iso500

_____
fs700 135l f2.8 60th iso500

_____
5d 135l f2 200th 500iso

_____
5d 135l f4 60th 500iso

Both set ups were properly measured, 5'4" from sensor to the wall, parallel with it and i made sure the heights were the same as well. Same lens, wide open and down 2 stops both times.

So i think most of it is just in the lens as i was shooting fairly close to wide open the whole time in Manly.

I probably should have compensated on the 5d by a stop but oh well, the amount of vignetting doesn't change because of it. Also, the 135L is my favourite lens, and is definitely not meant for shooting tape on a wall :) It is interesting to see the difference in frame size though, the speed booster nearly gets you the 'full frame look' but not quite...
