What's the general feeling on whether the price of the DVX100A will drop over the next few months? Has anyone heard of how Pana will respond to the release of the XL2 e.g. working on a "DVX 200" or the like?
I think the price will remain stable over the next few months. The XL2 still isn't available and when it is released, it will be significantly more expensive than the DVX100. Jan Crittenden, the product manager is running the Magic Bullet promotion for now and will probably keep that going for awhile. I'm sure she'll be keeping an eye on sales numbers as sales of the XL-2 kick in. Panasonic is working on the sucessor to the DVX100, but no one is expecting a release anytime soon. My prediction is a small downward pressure on the DVX100 price after the initial surge of XL-2 sales--maybe a $100-$200 drop.
