Specific resolution file sizes

As much as I'd love to shoot everything 24p 1080, there maybe times when the added resolution isn't needed and I would shoot, say, 24p 720, to save space on the P2, with some shots 60p 720 for speed fx.

Is there a chart breaking down the file sizes (i.e.: MB/s) of the different resolutions and frame rates? Sure I could do some research and get the numbers to do the math myself, but I think something like that on this site would be handy.

I'm sure there are several threads here in the HVX forum that cover this. I know for a fact that I've seen it discussed in two seperate posts....

In 1080 the data rate is always 100 megabits per second.

In 720p the data rate is determined by dividing the frame rate by 60, and then multiplying that against 100.

So: 30p = (30/60)*100 = 50 megabits
24p = (24/60)*100 = 40 megabits
4p = (4/60)*100 = 6.67 megabits
38p = (38/60)*100 = 63.3 megabits

etc...

Barry i am starting my ebook which will consist of all the invaluable information you offer us! Thank you!

Edit: not an "ebook" rather a document full of quotes.
