Wow, that's interesting cause I'm selling my soul on eBay so I can get an IMAX camera and shoot a Lord of the Rings parody. It's going to be shot using 15 Letus Extremes. Do you know if the adapter works with an IMAX?
The Brevis supports IMAX of course but it requires an optical mirror array spinning at 3600 rpm to avoide SGM (static grain masking). The camera array is made of six HV20s inverted mounted, 60 degrees apart on the rotation axis from each other. Some steadicam operators have taken exception to the 2 car batteries and 5 horsepower electric motor spinning the entire assembly at 7200 rpm in counter-rotational to the internal mirror assembly. Aside from the three fatalities (it's ok, they were just camera ops), folks have commented very positively on the gyroscopic stabilization properties of the rig. It only loses 19 stops of light, so now is being used primarily to film solar flare activity. We're taking pre-orders now. Introductory pricing is set at $7.88 (Canadian, as the US dollar is now worth 7.87 CAD)
