Special Order?

Sorry about all of these questions but I thought I could just consolidate everything into one post.

I want to put my camera plus an adapter plus a huge lens (preferably a 1000mm) plus a mattebox plus a follow focus plus a second set of support rails plus 14 c-47s plus a swing out arm for a 42 inch "field" monitor plus a backup 7" Marshall monitor plus 4 stacked Anton Bauer batteries plus a firestore plus a swing out tray for holding extra lenses plus a hanger for a pouch full of back up prime lenses plus a shotgun mic plus a small microwave on my rails system.

I reckon my rails need to be about 6 inches thick and about 12 feet long. Does this sound about right? Will reinforced steel be strong enough?

Is there any way of putting all this stuff on a steadicam rig and still have it be practical to shoot?

Also, does anyone know if there is a tripod with 4 legs? I don't think 3 are enough. I am also looking at a large crane made by John Deere. Are you guys familiar with that brand?

Someone is having a bad day!

And...YES!!! That would be fine. And you should have plenty of room to set your ipod on it as well connected to some big a@# speakers.
:2vrolijk_08:

Are you also thinking about attaching your camera to a merlin? I think this would help you on those run and gun shoots.

Guys -- be careful. Whenever people put up threads like this one they get crushed by the M.O.D.S. TimurCivan is here. Crap!

You mean something like this?

What!? What did i do? i thought i was funny..... Jeez....

I just had the image of that Beast pictured above on a stedicam.... swinging around... knocking over street lights..... crushing deer and ducks.......

I don't understand why you guys think this is a joke.

I have one other question.

In order to get that "through binoculars" effect you sometimes see on shows like the Six Million Dollar Man or Starsky and Hutch, do I need to rig two Letus Extremes side by side in front of the camera? If so, do I need an additional adapter between the camera and the Extremes?

Somebody is definitely not having his best day.

Hopefully, somebody would think before asking questions out of this world.

Ahhh... He stays in character. I feel like we're playing SNL in the DVX world.

The answer to all your questions is do a search. Search is your friend. This question has been asked too many times in here. Please do some reading before posting threads.
Just to throw a random cliche answer -- you need to light your scene. That's why your video doesn't have the "Film Look."

I love how they kept the lens hood on that XL-A1

That actually served a usefull purpose. The M2, achromat and large rubber lens hood attached, was slid on the rails until it stopped up against the A1 lens hood, locked down, then focus/zoom presets were hit on the A1. This let us go from raw camera to adapter in under a minute, focused, zoomed and ready to shoot.

I hope it wasn't me that was giving you a hard time with all the questions...about the extreme :nads:

Now you've gone and spoiled it by being all serious

So what, now you're telling me you weren't serious and I posted my helpfull set-up photo only to be publicly ridiculed?

Now I'm not going to show you how I the mounted fuel cell to power the PS3 to have something to do while you're waiting in the field for sunsets.

Well I'm bidding on a Drogen's Decoder Ring on ebay to help me decode a simple, polyphonetically-grouped, twenty-square digit key transposed in booster phoedonic form using multiple nulls - hoping it's just the thing to help me attach my 1940's Revere 8mm camera lens to my A1 -

RED one eat your heart out!

Oh I love this forum :)
