.. garble garble...lol now i feel kind of bad for having some distain.

and may i add.. thanks for the recognition. good to know that there is one more person aside from Hudson that is willing to admit they know who i am. lol Hope you liked the short!

anyway thanks for sharing and the vid was great. good work guys!

haah!

funny! nice shout out to the ladies. had to laugh at the sign on the pillow, as I get in "trouble" all the time for that.

Just watched it, and besides all the other praise being lavished on it, let me just say...

... that was the single greatest opening shot I think I've ever seen... something about that opening title shot was just captivating, and it really felt very special somehow...

Hudson, you were my inspiration. I loved your 10,000 post video. So I can't think of a better use of my 11th post than as a "thank you" for the nice things you wrote about my video debut on dvxuser.com.

"Say it with me Hudson, Amtrack" had me spitting coffee up. Awesome!

And I think you know what I'm sayin' to you, right? Get out that calendar . . . .

That's great!

I need a more catchy name (maybe even a word!) if I am ever going to get a shout out
I did include you, but because of the order of my index cards, it came out "mmm, toilet bob . . ." I think you can understand why you two didn't make the final edit. Which reminds me . . . T.B. - have you contacted jdsmith19 regarding his avatar? You two should hook up . . .

Dallas,

It's cool to see a wife and husband team with the same interests in images and the creative eye. I know a while back your hubby was talking about possibly having a training day, is that on the backburner still? I'm thinking about possibly starting a public access show for armature videographers to shoot ideas off each other and further their craft. It's still a concept in the works, but I'd love to have Disjecta come on for one of the shows if my concept becomes reality.

Kevin, it's great fun to collaborate with Steven. He is as creatively inspiring to me as he is to members of this forum.

As far as a "training day", personally, I think it would be awesome. Unfortunately, Seattle isn't exactly centrally located, so for those who aren't local, it is a big commitment to travel here. Still, if people are willing to do that, Steven would absolutely be onboard. I can't say he's got the time to organize it, so I say you all just come knock on the door and grab him. If he's not shooting, he'd just be, like, re-grouting the bathtub, so he'd go in a heartbeat. :) Alternately, you could contact the "Training & Development" department at Pine Lake Films. I'm sure they could help plan something in the near future. Here's a few contacts at PLF that may be of assistance to you:

Thanks, Barry. What was it, exactly? My eyes? Steven's lighting skills? :)

I don't know exactly. I think it was the art direction, the props, perhaps the product placement... yeah, that was it!

That was really cool. I think I will do one for the completion of our zombie joint if i can find everyone again. You sounded really professional and at home in front of the cam, he should point it at you more often...

I do I do. And I might have to take care of this little piece of business int he next 10 months.

Geez, y'all, wouldya look at this. I'm like, burning up my next ten posts right here! I need to conserve!

Coffee -- it was nerve-wracking just to film this thing, but then to throw it out there for comments? Yikes. I appreciate the fact that you are all so polite. BTW, does your wife leave you home alone often? She might want to rethink that . . . :)

iamloser -- Disdain? Neil, that's a little harsh. Oh well, since you feel a bit bad about that, all is forgiven. :) But seriously, I never really thought anyone would be fooled. I think anyone who gave it any thought simply assumed "Dallas" was Steven. But just in case . . . the reveal was fairly obvious, but hey, it fooled HansK. :)

Slimothy, I'm all about good lighting. Funny you should mention Zombies - I actually looked like one just before he hit the switch on that softbox. :)

Oppressor - thank you for the compliments. I haven't done much in front of Steven's camera because I'm usually behind my own Canon 10D, probably shooting the same thing he is. That said, I've been known to contribute to his productions with writing and narration. If you haven't already seen it, check out Brackendale.

Hudson - awesome.

Again, thanks everybody. Now I think I'll shut up before I have to make another video.

Dallas!!!

D had to clue me in. I've been marching up and down the west coast since May and I haven't really had much time to swing by.

Thanks for the plug!!

Loved the whole deal! Surprised you didn't get out the Soprano Cigars -- Or at least a nice Washington Chard...

Say hi to everyone for me.

Oooh, goodie! Does this mean you got me a stash of those cute little shampoo bottles and stuff??

A big Hi right back to your gang.

Dallas, that was wonderful. I was wishing I was seeing it on a big screen, no wait, I was wishing I was there with you guys. I love your voice, very clear and soothing to match the images. Maybe I can make something like that with some of the pigeons in the park. I hear that they congregate for feeding the same way in front of park benches when the season of the old lady with crumbs start.

Very funny. very professional, the lighting, the intro. you seem to know how to talk in front of the camera, its very presentable, shows alot of personality, very likeable! gl with your next 10 post!
