Hi, I work in a crappy ad agency and I'm always working on my book to get into a better one. One night over a few beers, my buddy and I thought of funny TV spot for a wi-fi company, so I decided to shoot it the other day.

Comments are appreciated. Thanks! Oh... by the way, does anyone know how I can "photoshop" that napkin out of the first part? it's on the floor.... I'm pretty new to all of this stuff.

I thought that was great. I'm a Powerbook user myself, and I've always thought about a commercial with someone on the toilet with Wi-Fi. You really did a great job. Did you shoot on the DVX100? And what kind of lights did you use. I really like the mood of the scene and I'm interested in what settings you used as well. Tell all, down to the dolly equipment ?

That was nice to see something simple, and effective.

I haven't had any luck using Linksys products with the Mac though. Does it really work? Or is it just a commercial myth?

Hello and thanks to all for the comments. The linksys stuff DOES work with the powerbook. I've been using them since I've had my older 550 Mhz Powerbook back in 2001. I shot this on my DVX100A in 24P, squeeze, not advanced. I also used a .7X wide angle adapter from 16X9 inc. As for the lights, I used a Britek G300 with a softbox for the first part of the ****. The urinals were lit with a britek g300 with a lee diffusion gel attached to the barndoors. The final shot had a lowel tota-light with a 1000 W bulb pointing at the ceiling and an Arri 650 Fresnel for a bit of highlight/shadow. As far as the dolly, I had a manfrotto 3137 that I modded with some skateboard wheels. There is a thread about that in the DIY section. check it out here:

Hiilarioso. Can you do one for me about how freakin hot this got dang PowerBook is? I had the pleasure of recently using a friends' Toshiba Satellite and was shocked at how cool it was. I had it on my LAP for 3 hours no prob. Anyone with a PB knows, 2-3 mins and you're burning up. I thought all LTs were this hot until that day. Made me wonder even more if Apple cares about us customers at all. But if you clowned them u might be able to get them into action for a cooler LT.

It is insanely hot. I went from a titanium powerbook to this al model. It's crazy. I actually got a Targus "chillmat" and it helps the problem when I am stationary.

Looked great -- I wouldn't sweat the napkin. I had to go back a second time to even notice it.

I agree with DM rider tho, "multi-tasking" doesn't sound clean.
