just got my sweet sweet hvx200a in all it's glory from spec-comm yesterday. I've been gear lusting over the 200 for years, and now i finally have it. the upgraded version wasn't a bad consolation prize for waiting either. :)

anyway, i just wanted to throw a shout out to andrew and spec-comm. if there is an a-hole nag of a customer list, i'm definitely at the top. think ADD kid with presents wrapped under the tree, and christmas still weeks away. as much of a pain as i was with my incessant nagging, andrew and the rest of the spec-comm peeps were nothing but awesome, always quick to answer my daily list of questions and help me out with some accessory gear choices. basically, customer service you won't get at most other places. not to mention i got a great price for the package i put together.

i bought from spec-comm based on posts here at dvxuser, so i thought i would just give a :thumbsup: and help someone else looking to buy as well.

You'll never be sorry if you order from andrew (or a handul of other places, but Spec-Comm is the top of my list). Congrats on the 200a! Go shoot somethign!

the first thing i'm going to work on is matching my dvx100b with the hvx200a. i do some event shooting and matching the 2 cameras is at the top of my list. i'll post some split screen footage of that, hopefully this weekend.

of course i plan to have some fun with variable frame rates too. :beer:

hey ilauzirika, i see you're basque? i have family in galicia i'm visiting in a few months. i can't wait.
 
Yes I'm from a small town near Bilbao. I've been twice to galicia and it's great. I also have a uncle there in Lira (La coruña) in the coast, but I don't get to visit him much, he comes here.
 
Yeah my HVX lens got damaged during a film I was shooting - spec comm/Andrew had it fixed super super fast.

I also left a miniDV tape in the camera for a corporate project - when I relaized this, spec comm overnighted the tape to me and I got the project done just in time!

I dealt with Jasmin from Spec-comm and she was nothing short of great. I'd highly recommend sc to anyone.
