Greetings,
I've done a lot of research on the boards concerning problems related to non-functional headphone jacks. None of the workarounds have worked in my situation (absolutely no audio from the headphone jack), so I'm preparing to send out my trusty DVX-100A (200+ hours on the heads) for repairs.
I had to send it out about two years ago for a different problem, and used an authorized service center in IL. I was considering using SPEC-COMM this time, but wanted to know if anyone had had this problem fixed from them before. I get the vibe that their service is quality. Thoughts?
Also, I'm a college student in Ohio. Would it make sense to send it to them? Also, do they provide any sort of student discount? I've heard that a full video board fix costs ~$780, which you can imagine is a dropkick to my check book.
Thanks for any input!
Pat
