Just a quick spot for our coffee maker we shot in our free time last Saturday afternoon. No real lights except an old Lowel 1K key, the rest are 100w incandescents.

HPX300, stock lens, DIGNEG scene file, 720p60 conformed to 30. Ingested through FCP to ProRes, all post done in After Effects.

Nice job Max. Isn't amazing how clean the 300 is. All this talk about noise is overblown.
Do you use DIGNEG all the time? What kind of grip equipment were you using?

Thanks, we're constantly amazed at the clean, sharp image this camera shoots. We do use DIGNEG most of the time, it seems to have a good balance between controlling noise and maintaining latitude. It does crush the blacks a bit, so for some stuff (like this) we'll raise the master pedestal back up to -10 or -7 if there's a lot of shadow detail.

Didn't have much in the way of grip equipment... assorted stuff lying around here. Shot against white seamless paper, coffee maker is on a simple manual turntable for the rotating shots. Camera is on Bogen sticks and 503HDV head (underpowered for the 300). Lights (except the 1K) are floor lamps and clip lights.

We wanted the smoother/more video look. Would've shot at 60p, but we also wanted to overcrank to help smooth out our shoddy turntable moves and some of the liquid stuff a bit.
