spanned clips audio problem

I work on a spanned clip. It aligns fine on the fcp 5.1.4 timeline. Adjusting audio levels with curves works fine, but when I apply the same filters to both parts of the clip (low shelf, parametric eq, compressor), a click is rendered on the transition point between clips. Remove the filters and the click goes away.
Any suggestions?:violin:

I don't use fcp, but I've run into similar stuff when working with audio. I just render out a master of both clips combined, then use that to apply my filters and effects. Hope that helps!

Thanks DES, that's what I'll do. Thought of that as a workaround via Logic or Soundtrack, but I am just getting tired of having to use workarounds because of spanned clips etc. The P2-FCP workflow is not as smooth as it ought to be. One fine day...
