Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

Wow! I liked it! I thought some of the green screened backgrounds were a bit cheesy but all in all very well done.

Is Jordan from a new generation Menudo?

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

hahah it had some sick sots in it. especialy loved the begining where he's on that tree above the water

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

I thought that was really cool... although not knowing spanish I couldnt grasp the story much... as technical point of view I thought it was great. Looks like you put alot work into it.

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

good job on most of the blue/green screens.

the only thing i didnt like was the tear effect. just use some H2O on the guy! he he

anyhow, good job

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

Felicitaciones!

Me alegra saber que hay otras personas latinas en el forum y en cuanto a tu video musical creo que esta bien realizado
eres bien creativo.
no me gusta mucho la cancion pero tu trabajo esta bien profecional.
sigue adenlante.

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

Again Coltrain, what didn't you like about this one? Critisism is potentially useful to everyone including the creator.

The assumption (  :-[ ) is that you didn't like something here, right? I'm curios of what everyone thinks good or bad, far more times than not it's helpful to get any and all perspectives.

My thought was that the tear was the "source" of the magic that was transported by the characters to one another so the CG tear worked for me since it carried throughout. The angles of some of the shots were very nice and I liked the editing overall.

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

Very well done! :D

Great pacing and the transitions seemed to be well thought out. Some of the backgrounds were a little “Laugh Inn’sh” but fit well with the overall look and feel of the video.

Which NLE did you use? What software did you use for the green/blue screen extraction? Good luck in the competition.

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

Contact Therapy: Thanks! He he, no... Jordan is just making his first songs and trying to succeed.

wesley: Thanks!

bryster: Thanks! Yes, there was a lot of work involved!

the-lyons-den.com: Thanks!

insomniac: Thanks/Gracias!

Coltrain: I guess your reaction was due to the prior spanish comment that you maybe didn't understand, wasn't it? ???

nullphonic: Thanks! You're right about the meaning of the tear! ;)

ChuckS: Thanks! I used Vegas for the cut, After Effects for the fxs, and Ultra (Serios Magic) for the chroma keys.

Thanks to everyone for your comments!!! It's really nice to know what other people from around the world think about the video! 8)

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

How well does Ultra from Serious Magic work? The results were impressive, is there a lot of rendering involved? Do they give you a lot of tools for spill supression etc.?

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

:) Great stuff - some of the best I've seen for a little while. Sorry for the newbie question - but how did you get the river to look like that in the end? I'm getting into After Effects and it looks like you used a different effect on the water than you did on the surrounding trees, person etc. How did you do it?

Congrats again!!

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

ChuckS: no, i don't think there is too much rendering involved... I import the clip into Ultra, then do quick fixes on all the features it has, and then render it into a file... (in my laptop it takes me about ten minutes for a 3-4 min file...) It's really easy to use and i think it has a lot of features you can use/manipulate/tweak to get a good key effect (spill supression, alpha curve, shadows, transparency, etc...)

Peter_Gaudry: I actually used two video clips in that scene. One is the park scene (with grass on the ground), and a sunset (the ocean). I did several masks in after effects in order to get the ground replaced by the water and to make the trees look like they're in the water... (almost frame by frame since i had a jib arm shot). Later I applied color correction to each scene/video clip independently. :)

So, nullphonic is right. 8)

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

:) This production to me seems to have had a lot of thought and work put into it. It was very fun to see what people can do with this camera if they put their mind into it. Great Job!

Re: Spanish Music Video Miami, FL

Nice work Kevin. I like the way the video starts and ends. I also like the shot where the guy disappears into the pole. very nice8)
The scene with the car (where it transforms from traffic to no traffic) did not do it for me, I had to replay a couple of times to understand the concept.
did you film the beginning in Miami too? I live in Miami too, and I'm working on a short film that will require that tropical look you had in the beginning.
Anyways, maybe we can collaborate on something (two cameras are always better than one :)

Thanks Moe.

You're right about the car and the traffic...

Yes, that's in Miami too. I think it's a park somewhere in North Miami Beach (I don't really remember ???) I'll later post a frame of the original footage, it's not that pretty...

Sure, let's see when we can shoot something with 2 dvx's!!!
