Spaghetti Western

Re:  Spaghetti Western

Another option would be to find the old LucasArts game "Outlaws" for the PC. You can usually find it at WalMart for $10 - it's in the section where discount games are sold - where they are just CDs not in a box.

Anyway, both game CDs have a spaghetti western soundtrack. And the best part is they are actually stored as audio on the CD so you can listen to them in a CD player and rip them to a computer.

Of course, they are copyrighted, so you couldn't use them for an actual production. But I'm sure for a school project it would be ok.

Just another option,
Larry

yeah, its just a trailer for my production class, we use copyrighting materials all the time, hehe...  :-/

anyway, i OWN outlaws! and love it, but the music, which is pretty good, is all (or mostly) keyboards circa '95, and simulated spaghetti guitar doesnt really cut it.

thanks for the suggestion though, keep them coming, i'm still lookin'!

Spaghetti western, yahooooooo!

If I were doing this, and had to put a sound track together, I'd get some of my latin friends together and just get acoustic guitar riffs, hands clapping, tamborine, and maybe accordian accents or shakers. What I remember of the Sergio Lione classics is that they had these quirky soundtracks that used music as a punchline to the action. Good luck with that project.

I always thought a spagetti western should be about a pizza parlour in Tuscon, you know, the one owned by the chinese family.

Re:  Spaghetti Western

well, the good creepy spaghetti stuff is kinda hard to find for free (and not easy to buy either) but i discovered that a few awesome tracks are on the Kill Bill sountracks! Including one i was looking for specifically (look up death rides a horse).

I still need something more energetic to complament them, but my only concern now is that everyone will recognize these tracks as Kill Bill songs. I've seen the movies and didnt remember them, so i doubt the many other ppl will
