Spaghetti Western

I'm writing a spaghetti western which is to ambitiuos to shoot now, but im making a trailer for it for a project for school.

Heres the thing, as im doing my shot list for the trailer, i desperatly need to pick out some music which will effect what i choose to put on screen.

The xbox/ps2 game Red Dead Revolver has by far the best collection of spaghetti western tunes, but unlike so many other games with awesome music, they dont have a soundtrack to by on cd. I've investigated where to find these songs, but came up with nothing. I've tried to figure out how to get the songs off from the game, but u need a modded xbox which i dont have and can't find anyone who does.

Does anyone know how i can get the songs from Red Dead Revolver or know of a collection of tunes they like? (ive listen to just about everything on amazon and can't find anything that great)

Sry, I'm in kinda a time crunch :-/

Hey, Sailor. Just finished a Western and made quite few contacts in the process. Let me know if you need anything in particular and I'll put you in touch with some great folks (props, guns, horses,wagons,western towns)

Good luck. For me, I'll NEVER do a Western again, too much friggin exposure to the elements. But, that's just me. As for our score, we're hooking up with the band, 'Black Heart Procession', who are an awesome band with brooding pianos and strong, dark compositions.

Are you saying you will be 'choreographing' to a score? Must it be SPAGHETTI in nature or will Scores such as Open Range and The Missing help?

yes, im saying that becuase its a trailer, music plays a more important roll than in writing a feature. Plus because specifically spaghetti westerned themed music isnt the most prolific style, i feel its much safer to pick music firt and write the shot list than do a shot wist with a certain feeling and not find muis to match the cues and such

so yes, im specifically looking for music reaking of our speficied italian noodle dish ;D

What is your deadline and whats estimate of length are you looking at here? (I'm, already looking around online)

Man, I'd love to shoot a western.

John, come on out for one of our pick ups, dude. We're doing a scene with horses and a wagon, and a cool shoot out as well. I think it's the 18th-20th. Drop me an e-mail.

Yeah, we'll be in Ocotillo, in the Painted Gorge area. Once our photographer gives us a cd the pics will be up at our site, it's pretty cool out there.

john, u and me man (theres a twist to this western that i cant even tell u because ur had will explode... ok maybe not but it should be cool) :P

my dead line is about 9 days i think, to have a rough shot list and minimal presentation to describe the look and feel to the others involved. I dont have a fleshed out story yet, which its what im working on now, but if the Grayson trailer tought us anything its that u need to show exciting moments and bring up intruiging questions, even if u dont have the answers. ;D But Im far along enough (and wasted enough time) that i need to start making some decisions and get this shot list going.

it will be between 3 and 4 min long

John, that itunes album was quite the find, unfortunatly i couldnt really find anything that would work, i dont know, not dark enough?

and i cant seem to find any of the song u guys suggested on limewire. is there a better p2p on mac?

i went to the red dead revolver website and was greated with a perfect song (although i figure i'll need 2 or 3)

u let the cat out of the bag, anyway ive been working on this for a few months now, and aparently im not the first to explore it, and in fact there are several films and video games being made right now that tackle that or similar subject matter, and since i know i cant afford or have the skill to shoot it now, i decided if i did a trailer (and maybe a short based on the same characters), at least id have my foot in the door before its yesterdays news. suppose that doesnt make sense, but it leased im motivated ;)
