Hi,
I just tried out to record with ProRes Rec709 and on the 7Q. I saw after (maybe while - cant remember) little back dots moving on some bright sections. So I though its a buck and I continued shooting in Slog2.
Now I recognize its not in the Clip....

Its still there when I watch the clip on the 7Q but its not in the clip, cause I cant see it on my computer.

Its not that bad buck, but it could be confusiing if you thing you ruin your take...

Somebody had that experience as well?

I have the exact same issue on the 7Q. IMO, Rec 709 is not really useable as it has crazy highlight aliasing issues. The dancing black dots appear in Rec 800 also, but to a lesser degree. Only on the 7Q monitor and not the actual footage.

i just stick to S-Log as that image is fantastic. I haven't used it much but Rec 800 seems a bit better than 709 (no highlight aliasing issue), if you need a more graded look.
