sound problem with EX1

Hi all,

Occasionally (that is to say that I could not detect why:)) I got one of my sound input line disabled.

Audio set-- audio input-- trim ch-1 may be enabled whereas trim ch-2 is disables, and the menu 'jumps' to AGC LINK LINE.

As a consequence, I cannot modify its parameters. I can however, hear and record on both channels.

FYI, I use two external channels, one for HF, the other for direct, both Sceneiser.

I must miss something obvious, but cannot get it.

cheers

If you are only using one mic, use channel 1. If you have mics plugged into both channels you will see ch 2 become available.

I use two mics but ch 2 is still disabled. I can hear record it but the line is still disabled so I can not tune it.
Is there other setting that I overlook?

You may need to set the switch to "Mic + 48v" if your mic needs Phantom.

OR Under the "Audio Input" menu, set "EXT CH Select" to "Ch-1/Ch-2"

Play around with the audo input / output settings and see what happens. Remember your settings.

I don't fully understand your problem, but I was once troubled by the inability to access the TRIM menu, when using the camera mikes. To be able to access them I had to turn to EXT the channel, as if I was using an external mike. After dialing the right setting, I turned it back to INT.

Yep, it worked!
I actually put the second mic on Line, to reduce the parasite noise (at the same time I increased the receiver and the emitter)...but as it's on Line the line is disabled. So yes, I had to put it on mic, dialing and turned it back to Line.
thanks guys for your patience with a beginner.
cheers

Is it just me that the sound is "un-even" in the levels between Right and Left? I use a Sennheiser wireless system and i alwas has to have channel 2 set to about 8 on the dial while the Left channel dial is at maby 5.. Any thoughts?
