Sound problem + Premiere CS3 question

Hi there!

A friend of mine has a DVX100B and she has a sound problem so please help...

When she got the camera the sound on the onboard mic was ok, but after she borrowed to a classmate, the sound is very weak and even if the audio gain is at 0, it sounds as if the gain is high. I`ve tried everything, every setting, and still sounds wierd and weak. Should she go to a Panasonic center? Is the mic broken?

Dave

PS: Also.. She works in Premiere CS3, she has the pal version, but Premiere CS 3 has only 24P DV, is there a mode or something like that for 25P DV?

:dankk2:

check if the mic is set to "line". its the the switch under the lens to the front of the camera. there are 2, one for each mic. Make sure they are switched to "mic".

Have you tried the left/right levels?
There are two dials under the LCD that control what volume the left/right side mics will capture at. I have mine turned down just a little bit because i film skateboarding, and when i edit, i don't like the sound of the skateboard over-powering the music i put to the video.

Hope this helped.
