Sound Monitoring: Headphone Echo through DVX-a

Hi any-everyone,

I need some serious? help. I bought my DVX last sept. Then immediately left and shot a documentary for 3 months. During that few months I rarely ever monitored the audio but if I did there was some echo involved. I originally thought that this was a simple audio delay, like when there is a slpit second difference in audio in Final Cut that happens depending on how you rig your system. However I just started the camera tests for a Feature, and the same echoing etc. is still happening.

What is this echo effect?

How the hell do I configure/fix it?

If you're shooting with the 100A in 24p/a, you're gonna have some echo. It's because of the processing delay in the pulldown of the footage. Your footage will be on sync, tho.
