sound (like a siren) coming from tascam dr60d???

Hi, on my tascam dr60d, i have like a siren sound each time i start a new recording for the 1st couple of second. I think its when i put the Phantom power "on".

Any feedback about this ?

Sounds like 1khz slate tone to me so see page 62 of the manual : http://tascam.com/content/downloads/products/799/e_dr-60d_om_va.pdf

It is after the piano sound starts so is not related to turning on phantom power as the mic is already operating and feeding audio.

I also see that there is an auto setting for the slate tone so it is probably adding it to your recordings every time if this is selected.

^^^Yes. It sounds like standard tone. You must have a setting where it does that automatically.
