I'm putting my trusty 552 up for sale. This thing was babied! It was part of the initial production run and it has the original-style "gooey" faders (which I like very much but is, of course, a matter of preference.)

Cosmetically the unit is near perfect with some light rubbing on the bottom of the case where it met my chest and isn't noticeable but I'm being up front. No surprises!

Included in the sale is:

- Sound Devices 552
- MXC-442 Portabrace Mixer Bag with RM Bag (for wireless mics), includes leather shoulder strap
- Portabrace shoulder harness and belt
- The Tomaras SD Extender for front/top access to the SD card
- 2x brand new 16GB SDHC cards
- 3x carabiners (MEC) for cables
- 1x custom cable set for connection to the "internal" mic inputs for a portable recorder like the H4n

I still have the original box and "cheat sheets" and will deliver it in said box with said cheat sheets.

I'm asking $2500 CAD for the kit, and while I'd prefer a local sale, the price includes shipping and taxes to anywhere in Canada. Will consider other destinations on a case-by-case basis and I'm happy to provide pictures via e-mail/cloud/whatever.

I am very interested in your 552 with extras that you have for sale.

Would you be happy to ship to Scotland, UK? It is obviously easier for you to obtain a quote to do this and I, of course, will cover the shipping costs.

I will have to pay import duty and VAT my end, but that is also at my cost of course.

As for payment, I can arrange payment through a paypal account if you have, or indeed any other reputable escrow/payment service you wish to suggest or use. Bank transfer of some kind is also acceptable.

I only offer so much info to show you that I am a genuine buyer and want to minimise any hassle for yourself.

Please could you e-mail me some pix and your thoughts?

I have looked into the shipping, import etc for sending to UK.

As I said, the various import costs and taxes are my expense, and I am happy to cover the shipping costs. I would arrange to have the items collected by courier at a time that suits you.

It would all be in one box I assume, and the weight somewhere between 5 and 10kg?

All you would need to do is pack it, and mark the box with a 'commodity code', which I will supply, so that Her Majestys Tax Inspector knows what to charge me.

With this in mind, and given the fact that the price includes shipping and taxes within Canada, would you accept $2,200 CAD?

I will be happy to arrange payment via paypal prior to shipping of course, unless you have another preference for payment.

Please let me know asap as I am very keen!

I have been trying to reply to your post all day, but to no avail thus far!!

I am Scotland based and am in need of a much pre-loved 552.

Having done all my research, I would be happy to buy yours.

I have reasearched all I need to, and am happy to arrange collection by courier and cover shipping to UK of course!

All I need to ask of you is to put a 'Commodity Code', which I will give you, on the packaging (for UK Customs) and arrange a time that suits you for collection.

As you are happy to pay for local shipping, if I agree to pay all shipping cost for shipping to UK, would you accept 2250CAD?

As for payment, I would be happy to use Paypal, or arrange a transfer into your account via BACS, or do you have a preference???

Please let me know ASAP as I have a project coming up I need another 552 to for.
