Hello everybody, my name is Leo and I’m located in Austria where I study theatre/film/media sciences in Vienna. I’m doing short movies now and then but my talent hasn’t been noticed yet
I’d like to sell some of my audio equipment for reasons explained below. I hope you can excuse my less than perfect English.
I bought the Sound Devices 442N less than two months ago from Danish sound recordist Allan Holmberg (http://www.imdb.com/...ref_=fn_al_nm_1). So I’m the second owner, but used it for one short film production only since then. Condition seems almost mint to me, with very few scratches here and there. The mixer will be shipped in its original box.
The MXC442 bag that came with it is not exactly mint anymore, you can tell that it’s been used quite a bit (the small RM-Multi in front more so than the bigger bag that houses the mixer), but all the velcro parts and zipps work like they are supposed to. The bag comes without the shoulder strap.
Instead of a shoulder strap for the bag I got the AH-3H-MEMM (medium size) Harness – got it from a friend who was working with a similar-sized mixer. It’s a good fit for the MXC442 and it’s in a very good condition, it’s not been used very much at all.
I’m looking to get 1500€ for the 442N, the bag and the harness together. I’d prefer to sell them as a set only.
The Mixpre was offered about 3 months ago on Craigslist by Michael Gonzales (http://www.imdb.com/...ref_=fn_al_nm_2), a film professor who is also working as a screenwriter, director, producer, etc. It’s also in good condition with few signs of wear. I bought it to use it together with a Sony PCM M10 as a very portable and lightweight recording unit for recording ambient sounds and also doing stealth recordings.
Asking 525€ for the Mixpre.
My main reason for selling the 442 is that I noticed during my last production that what I really need is a dedicated recorder, so I’m looking to get a Sound Devices 702/722 now. I noticed that most of the time I only worked with one or two mics and din’t really need all the mixing options the 442 offers. I felt professional running around with the harness, the bag and the big mixer, but it’s overkill for my needs. I would also gladly trade the 442 with its accessories for a 722. Another reason for the sale is that I’d like to get a Blackmagic Cinema Camera in the next few months and I still need some money for that.
I can ship these two units to any country in the European Union for 15€, tracking and insurance up to 500€ included. Payment via Paypal, bank transfer. Local pickup in Vienna with payment in cash would be welcome too.
If you’re interested, just write me a PM or mail to Leopold_Ernst@hotmail.com or answer in this thread.
Cheers,
Leo
