I am putting this up here for everyone since it took me much reseach to clear up a problem I was having with this compressor. One of my clients has a logo with some very thin lines on it and everytime I would animate/compress it to mpeg2 via sorenson, it would fall apart, it just couldnt handle the thin lines, I would turn out extremely pixelated. I repeatedly told my client that the thin lines were the issue and had to be fixed...mpeg2 compression just couldnt handle that. Needless to say, I was not happy with the results I was seeing but my research pointed to the fact that it was just customary for mpeg2.
That was until I did some compression tests with CinemaCraft. I compressed the same animations, with the same settings and watched them back to back and the CinemaCraft version held together beautifully. I know that you are thinking...well, CinemaCraft costs $2000, of course its going to look better. No, I did this test with their basic package that costs $58!!! I did several other test side by side with a few other situations and CC came out on top.
I know this sounds like I work for the company or something, but I don't, I am just STOKED on the fact that I fixed this problem I have been dealing with for some time now and if it helps someone else...great!!
