fs 700 with speed booster...from your experience ..
i got the sony zeiss 2.8... someone here try it with sony alpha speed booster ?

I don't think there is a Metabones speed Booster Alpha to E Mount

On an FS700 I beleive your only option with a speed booster is Canon EF to NEX

There is a Sony Alpha to E mount speed booster, i would like to try it out. It has no electronic connection though and aperture must be set mechanically through a ring on the speed booster. I have both ZA zooms and it would be interesting to see how they performed full frame on the 700.

I'm not aware of very many people using it though, there was a piece on new shooter about it.

cheers
Paul

Just bought a Duclos modified ZF.2 80mm Prime Zeiss for my FS700. I bought the version with a Nikon to Canon Leitax mount conversion. Using both Metabones adapters with it. The electrical contact strip shorts out the FS700, so the FS700 won't boot up when turned on. A small piece of insulating tape on the contact strip solves the problem. The Zeiss ZF.2 is a beautiful, beautiful lens on the FS700. Images are just stunning.

hy there,

i have a meatbones a to e mount speedbooster on a zeiss 2.8 vario sonnar ZA 24-70mm on my fs 700. works great. no clicking. but you have to take it on the rods, the zeiss also. the zeiss is too heavy (real glass hopefully;-) to work with it without rod supports.
my setup: alphatron BW /red focus / waveform, chrosziel FF, canon compendium, v-mount on the backside.

henk1: so aperture adjustment on the ZA is smooth with Speed Booster? i know it's clickless ,but how does it feel? i've used MA mount adapters with aperture adjustment before and they were pretty bad. thanks!

sorry for the delay - i was 4 weeks working in spain.
hmm. i dont know what exacly what you mean. the biggest problem is, that you don´t have any information about the iris steps because the cam doesent connect it. in front of working with this setup you have to learn and get a tryout for it.
it feels not like an typpical eng lens. the way from close iris to open is very small - but smooth. you need an waveformer or a proper evv to get yor informations. this is an lowlight team. absolutely.
in my opinion its great to have a good range without iris steps. this lens is a killer for the new eng. looks like an eos mk2 with a 17-40mm but without Rshutter (tested). i have edit some shoots for an event. that rocks!!! looks very very pretty.
