Sony Z7 tapes

Hey Guys,

Am i right in assuming that the Z7 can record HDV onto standard MiniDV tapes and i dont need to buy the expensive HD miniDV tapes??

I assume i would get better quality out of an HDV tape but i might not have time to order them before the weekend...
