emanuel,
simply because i want progressive and 24p back. i used to have a dvx100a and sold that for the z1u. nothing against the z, it shoots one hell of a picture. i'm gonna go with the jvc hd100 because of the progressive and 24p, not to mention the lens and more professional looks. the hdv doesn't scare me at all.
 
Thanks for the enlightenment as user review. Did you see some 24p footage from 50i after post process/conversion such as Tomorrow is Today's trailer?
 
No offence friend, but you are nuts to sell your z1 for an hd100. Copmarable, as an owner of both cameras, the hd100 is riddled with problems. I'd go for the hvx 200 instead. I don' think there is another camera out there as outstanding as the z1 as far as overall bang for your buck goes. Sell your z1, but don't buy the hd100 until the cameras issues are solved. This is indeed from the voice of experience. At least demo the hd100 and test it thoroughly before buying.
