So my smartphone (pretty featureless one by today's photo and video standards) is dying and it did get me thinking about getting a phone that could shoot good b-roll for a lot of my videography work. After googling best phone for video work (obviously the iphone came up), I learned of Sony's phone series.
The Xperia IV takes quite good video for a phone. Any chance there'll be something that comes along that shoots in a log format, with expandable SD slots, typical of a DSLR. Also is there anything on the horizon with the built in lenses that has aperture control or an easy ND solution for stopping down so one isn't bound to shutter for exposure?
Thanks, and sorry if these are kinda silly questions as, obviously, the main use of a phone should be its phone purposes.
