FS7: Sony wireless UWP-D pulsing sound

I have a problem with my Sony wireless set UWP-D. One of the channels sometimes has a pulsing sound (not always).
The system is connected with the SMAD shoe.

It is a repeating sound (each second).

Any thoughts?

Have you tried turning off the GPS?

I just did that now. :)
Now I'll wait and see if the problem will return.

Today when I had the problem, it stopped after a few minutes recording.

I suspected cellphones of bluetooth transmitters. But it is annoying and costed lots of extra time in post to fix the sound.

GPS interference is a known problem with early models of the SMAD adapter. You can send it in to be modified with extra shielding if you want to continue using GPS. Personally, I'd just leave the GPS turned off. But that is just my opinion and I know you don't care to hear me voice my opinion about anything.

Ha ha. I do prefer facts above opinions but since the problem isn't reproducible, this time an opinion/advice/habit or an assumption is worth a try. However the SMAD adapter is no older than one year.

Thanks and I hope your advice will help.

I had a strange phasing sound on the first job I did with my D26. The shoot was in an office with a lot of tech and computers. Nothing unusual. I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I haven't heard it since. I have the new SMAD-5 digital interface. The sound has been great since that first job. I may have turned off the GPS and network after that first job. It was back in December so I can't be sure.
