Sony UWP-V1 lavalier quality?

I did a series of interviews where the subjects were miked with the lavalier coming with the Sony UWP-V1 kit. And I have some sibilance with a couple of women, in two different indoors locations. Very clearly and very noticeable. I don't use this lavalier often. It happened twice before in separate occasions, and I thought it was the subjects, just the way they were speaking. Now this occurrence has me thinking: is this a sub-par lavalier that Sony puts with this kit, and the cause of this problem? I would appreciate you sharing your experience(s) and suggestions before I upgrade it, if I need to... The lavalier was clipped 7-8" from the mouth, outside garment.

For what it's worth:
Sony UWP with stock lav, outside near a busy street: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6FLKA4dBL8
Same system but in a quieter setting with stock lav replaced with an Oscar Sound Tech 802 (<$130): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQxRIIJydfI

I find the stock lav to be usable but not great. I also have a Sennheiser G2 system. I find the stock lavs to be pretty similar quality, with maybe a tiny edge to the Sennheiser. I don't really have serious sibilance with either. I did find that the Senn. stock lav doesn't pick up as well from further away. This is a disadvantage if you can't get the lav super close, but an advantage if recording in a noisy environment.

The OST lav I got is their model that has a less bright EQ curve.

The stock Sony UWP lav is bad news, it doesn't even have a model number on it. Typical Sony marketing, by the time you add a better pricer lav,
you've just about paid for the better quality Sennheiser G3 rig.

We replaced all our UWP lavs with Sony ECM44BMP model lavs, the sound quality difference really does show up their stock lav.

Another newer release is the Rode Smartlav, read the reviews ..

Cheers.

Thank you for the link. The fact that you changed the position of the microphone, also taped (I presume) to the chest, gives a wider range of useful samples. Looks like OST got a new customer.
