Sony URX-P03D 2-Channel Portable Receiver

I am looking for a good wireless lav mic kit. I have questions about the Sony system.

This will be mainly for interview shoots.

At the moment I have a Rode NTG# shotgun mic on a boom arm.
I am interested in the Sont UTX-P03 so I can have it be a wireless system as now I have it connected directly to a Zoom H4n.

I have a Zoom H4n and I dont know if I can control the levels on the recorder.
If its possible, how?
If not, can I through the receiver?

Yes. It’s a dual-channel receiver, and it has separate outputs for each channel.

How can I control the levels of each mic?

Are you asking about just setting the levels for recording, or are you asking about active control of the levels during recording?

The receiver has menu-set output levels for each channel. As for the Zoom H4n, input levels can be controlled individually. See page 22 of the manual. Neither of these are elegant solutions for active mixing. If you want complete control over levels, your best bet is to add a small mixer in front of your H4n, like the Sound Devices MixPre-D, or just to move up to an integrated mixer/recorder like the Sound Devices MixPre-3.
