Sony SR-12 workflow

Hey I just purchased the sony sr-12 and am having a bit of confusion as to how to transfer footy off of the camera and onto my mac...can someone explain thier workflow from importing clips onto the computer to importing them into FCP, 3rd pary applications, etc... your help is greatly appreicated

The SR 12, I believe, shoots AVCHD.

You need to mount the cam on your desktop using USB, and with FCP 6.0.4 or later and an Intel Mac, use log and transfer to convert to pro res.
