SONY professional tape shortage

Even products from companies that didn't sustain damage will be more expensive because the Japanese yen reached an all time high versus the dollar yesterday.
But our problems are nothing compared to theirs. I just hope the Japanese people can return to some kind of normalcy soon. They rebounded very quickly after the Kobe earthquake in 1995, but this looks much worse.
I think people will survive the tape shortage if it doesn't last too long. Just capture old tapes to hard drive, then re-use the tapes.
