Sony Pregius USB/GigE camera for affordable Global Shutter CMOS?

I am wondering if anyone has any knowledge about using USB3 video cameras made with the Sony Pregius (IMX174) Global Shutter CMOS sensors.

Some examples are:

My thought is these appear to be very powerful global shutter CMOS cameras which can be bought for <$1k. I am intending to use these in my house primarily to record music performance. I am thinking it might be possible to use as a high resolution webcam as well.

For my purposes, then, being tethered to USB is not a major problem. Having no view screen is also not a problem. Lastly, I cannot tell if they record audio, but that is also not a problem also if not, since I can use mics.

What do you guys think? Is there any deficiency to these cameras that should preclude their consideration? How do you think specs/image quality would compare to say a Black Magic Pocket Camera?

General information about the Pregius sensors is here:

Thanks,
Mike
