Better inspect this in person first! This ad was just posted at reduser but the post was quickly taken down after a complaint was posted under it. The camera is worn out with a broken lcd. Buyer beware I guess!

Since some here seem to be doubting the condition of the camera I wanted to chime in and clarify a few things.

First of all I have no idea what the above user means when he says the post was taken down on reduser. It's still there, anyone can find it.

The camera is in great condition. Yes it is used, but fully functional. The user called into question the condition of the LCD and the lens mount so I have some photos here I took to show the condition a little better. You can see the mount has some normal scratches from lens mounting and removal, but that it functions perfectly normally, and easily holds and locks in a larger size angenieux zoom with zero issues. The lcd is pictured clearer here as well. If you see a scratch on it let me know, as I still can't find the scratches that he claimed to see.

For those that are interested, the user posting above me contacted me to buy this camera, but he needed time to raise the money. I told him that I already had a buyer lined up, but after some back and forth, agreed to sell to him because he was local. He paid a $100 deposit, and a week and a half later arranged to come in and take delivery of the camera. When he showed up he apparently thought the camera wasn't for him, and started looking for reasons not to accept it. That's fine, I understand people change their minds, etc. but when he demanded a return of his $100 deposit, after we had held the gear for him as agreed and turned away other potential buyers, that's when I said no, deposits are non-refundable. I don't think this was asking too much or unfair in any way. He then decided to lash out against me on this site and others.

So to sum up, the camera is still for sale, is in great shape, and if anyone has questions about condition about a specific part of it please let me know I'm happy to provide more evidence, or if you are local I'd encourage you to come in and take a look. But don't just take the opinion of one guy for fact when he is a bit bent out of shape.

Um, no, I'm not the one that sent you a deposit. I'm the one who contacted you about buying this some time ago and I said I thought it was too much considering the hours and because it was a rental. You said it was not a rental but I learned this was not true. I also learned from another post that it had a broken lcd that had been unprofessionally fixed so that was the end of my interest. The posts on the other forum were taken off for some reason but yes, they are now back.

You simply copied and pasted the same post you put on other forums which isn't a good idea. Now that the facts are cleared up, I'm done.

Sorry for the confusion, since this is not a real names forum and I've never met you, I assumed you were the other user that wanted to buy it and left a deposit, only to back out.

But to clarify, this camera is in top notch condition, anyone who wants to inspect it for themselves is more than welcome to come do so, or if you aren't local, just let me know what you want to see more clearly and I'll get some photos and/or video for you.

This whole thread has gotten ridiculous with untrue allegations (glued on lcd? scratched monitor? where is he getting this?) flying both on this forum and on reduser all brought by one person who acted in a needlessly vindictive and immature way when his $100 deposit wasn't refunded because he backed out of a transaction. People should really just look at the photos or inspect the camera themselves if they are interested not rely on the opinions of just one upset individual.

I should also mention that I've sold over 150K of gear through this forum and reduser and probably purchased a similar amount, and I've never once had a problem with a buyer who thought I was misrepresenting gear.

You are kinda going overboard with the defense in my opinion and trying to make others look bad. You also told me it wasn't a rental so I think you can see how it might be hard to trust the ad now. I backed out of buying it like others because you are not being 100% upfront. I'd let it rest and let the next guy come and look at it in person and maybe he can report an opinion. If you are such an experienced "dealer" I would think you would know better than to make big issues out of forums posts.

I don't see anything wrong with defending my gear and reputation against false claims. You yourself posted that the "camera is worn out with a broken lcd" and you hadn't even seen it. I'm sorry if you think I'm going overboard, but when people make allegations like that how can I not say something? I have been 100% upfront. We had 3 F3's at one point and kept this one the longest because it was in the best shape. This was my personal camera I'd shoot projects with whenever clients didn't have budget for a RED. It was "rented" in the fact that most of its hours came from one production from a major cable network, and the rest of its hours were from me. The condition of it speaks for itself, and again, anyone can come inspect in person if they have any doubts.
